GeoMe have announced a location-aware social media application that runs on mobile phones.
Users can receive information on what is happening in their neighborhood while sharing their favorite locations - just with friends, or with everyone within the GeoMe community.
Interestingly, there are integrations with the content from GeoCities and 11870.com to provide useful information wherever a member of the GeoMe community happens to be. GeoMe allows for the user to personalize their map - with personal notes and favorite spots.
As a USP, there is also the Mood Based Search Engine, allowing users to search for nearby points of interest according to one of six moods - ranging from ‘Cheap’ to ‘Sexy’!
You can download the Application on any supported Java-enabled mobile by going to http://www.geo-me.mobi
In addition, there is going to be a free iPhone version of the Application pretty soon - something that could potentially generate a lot of interest if the mood-based search engine catches on!
